Concept Schools hosts its annual Spoken Word competition each Spring where students from across the Concept network express themselves through spoken poetry on topics that range everywhere from family to politics to love and to death.
Through this creative platform, Concept students develop their written and oral language skills and increase their confidence as they model their creativity on the mic.
Rhythm, improvisation, rhymes, wordplay, and slang. These are what define Spoken Word - writing that is meant to be read out loud.
